Post Mortem

In retrospect, I'm stunned I got as much done as I did, especially with my senior project nipping at my heels. The only thing I would really have changed would be to have been coloring as I animated instead of ruining myself with a giant chunk of work at the end of the year! Hopefully that will come in handy next time I'm trying to finish a big flash project.

Thanks for the class, best of luck in the future!

The end!

Not the END, the end, but the end. Turns out coloring was a MUCH bigger job than I expected it to be, so it didn't get finished. When I get some time to myself, I'll probably finish it up just to show around. Other than that, though, it's all put together and ready to be watched:

Enjoy, and thanks a lot for following along!

Go for the endless push, however forever, with tornado THERE'S NO WAY

I'm in the home stretch, here. I've got half a scene of lip synch to finish up, then one last short scene to finish up, and then coloring, and I'll be DONE. It looks like, in the interest of time, I'm going to have to drop the wires sticking out of his head, which is a shame. I may draw them in after the quarter is over, just for the benefit of the piece.

Here's where I am so far.

i'm almost done go go go aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Back to work, you son of a bitch!

Alright, I just finished taking a week off from this class to work on my senior project. Nearly all my animation is done for Senior, so it's time to nail a crazy robot to a piece of paper and call it a cartoon!

A breif pause in production.

Work on my Digital Cel project is coming along smoothly, though work on my senior project is NOT. That why this week, with the exception of classtime, will be devoted entirely to moving along my senior project. However, I only have about two scenes left to finish, and I've been working at about the pace of a half a scene to a scene a day, so I don't expect any major problems.

For those interested, HERE is where I've gotten so far.

It's business time!

The Cintiq pen

I really can't come up with any complaints from using the Cintiqs. I have a tablet PC I bought about a year ago, which I bought instead of a Cintiq primarily because of the portability of it. While I don't regret my purchase, the difference in quality is astounding. The sensitivity and responsiveness of the Cintiq is leaps and bounds over what I've gotten from my laptop, primarily, I think, because of Wacom's driver software being so much more sophisticated than MagicTouch.

I love working with the Cintiqs, and leaving them behind after I graduate is NOT going to be an easy thing to do.
